Mushin No Shin -

Once, when I was little, I climbed into a giant statue of Buddha in Kamakura. I looked up inside Buddha's head and saw that it was empty. A perfectly dark void.

Now I fear that I will never be able to find that emptiness again, because everything I see seems to go on forever. As an adult, I have tried to go back to Kamakura, but I never seem to make it.

I get lost in Ginza and never seem to make it out.

Mushin no shin means “mind of no mind” and I’m still looking for it, but it’s like trying to find Waldo. I need to learn to how to close the book …
